Of Books & Shelves

I don’t consider myself a person of a giddy nature.  By now, I am of a pretty hearty nature, reasonably practical and sane (though can dabble in whim and fancy on occasion, prone to candy shopping and kitty Instagramming).

At the Strand, October 2019

But seeing my first book of poems on the shelves of the Strand was a thrill.

The Haul, May 2017

And the time a friend found my book at the Strand and bought it.  Oh yeah, that was a thrill, too.  Plus I was in the same bag with Roald Dahl!

Book number two is slow going.  Who knows when and if it’ll even land a shelf, but if that day ever comes, I am sure it’ll be as exciting as the first time.
